John Koumoundouros – Chief Executive Officer
John brings 25 years of aerospace engineering, program management and sales experience to his leadership role at Aviya. He works closely with the company’s leadership team to chart the path for all partner and customer strategies and programs. John’s core strength lies in his demonstrated ability for deployment of strategic plans and collaborative projects.
John’s goals are to drive the company forward—through success and growth as well as remaining on the technological cutting edge—and to instil deep pride among Aviya employees in this environment of innovation and exemplary customer focus.
John is passionate about the aerospace industry, and this passion inspires a company culture that raises the bar within the industry for overall employee satisfaction and customer confidence.
Louis Brown – President and Chief Operating Officer
Louis works to coordinate the business systems and infrastructure Aviya needs to thrive and make the most of our current growth phase. He is responsible for all company operations including short- and long-term planning geared toward sales growth, profitability and cash-flow management.
Louis came to Aviya from Honeywell Inc., where his 17-year career included senior leadership roles as controller, director of operations and ultimately general manager of its aerospace business in Mississauga, Ontario.
Joseph Sum – Vice President of NexGen Systems
Joseph is an expert in resource planning and project management and, as such, is a capable interface between the Aviya management team, our subcontractors, and all of our customers. In this role, he maintains an exceptional record in budget, schedule and delivery adherence.
Joseph is responsible for maintaining momentum in each of our current projects and for sustaining growth on an operational level. He implements formal processes in support of product development, product definition and documentation, and oversees technical resources and development.
Baktash Hamzehloo – Vice President of Engineering
Baktash directs the day-to-day operations of Aviya teams engaged in Controls, Modeling, Simulation, CFD and testing. He is responsible for Aviya’s strategic in-house and external systems engineering capability, directly overseeing a group of more than 100 system engineers.
Baktash plays an active role interfacing with Canada’s university network to help guide future engineers who aspire to careers in aerospace. He is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board for Concordia University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
